About MeI am Saved By Grace.
A Real Foodie. Adherent and advocate of the Weston A. Price Foundation dietary principles. I am a lover of freedom who fully believes that freedom is bestowed upon us by our Creator, not man. A good steward of God’s creation who is trying to be obedient to the call, to live as a modern agrarian, to lead by example and bring Him Glory. Blessed homeschooling momma to four with a husband who desires the same things in life. It is so much easier when both parents are on board and pushing for the same goals. I long for the country life. To look out my windows and see nothing but God’s creation and maybe the occasional house in the far off distance. Until that dream becomes a reality i am bringing the country life to the city. I no longer only see the nuisance of the city life i see our Urban Farm coming to life. The raised beds lining the yard that explode with beauty and bounty. The keepers of our garden, a trio of Bantee Ducks. Fruit trees scattered around in planters; in the driveway, along the fence, lining the walk way and deck. Our barnyard backyard where we share the space with our farm friends. Where chickens perch on top the fence lines and mini goats romp and play. Where once there was a large shed and basket ball hoop now stands a barn and run. A coop and run in the opposite corner. Compost piles, worm bins, hay, cans of feed are the backyard decor. Where there is a constant project needing done, an eyesore pile of something that is a future piece of our “farm”. Our Urban Farm sits nestled among other homes on an average city block providing me with some semblance of that farm life i desire. Within its perimeter i feel closest to my creator. Life feels much simpler, innocent, a gift. I am filled with His peace and joy as i am reminded by all of the life around me that nature does indeed declare His Glory. That His plan is so perfect....the life in the soil that nourishes the plants, the plants nourish us and the animals, the Animals in return nourish us with eggs and milk and nourish the soil, we tend to the animals, the soil, the plants....... it's a perfect cycle. |
